EPIC Regional Food System Project
The Eastside Producers Informational Collaborative (EPIC) is a multi-county initiative led by Lost Sierra Food Project in partnership with producers, nonprofits, and food system advocates across four rural counties in Northeastern California: Plumas, Sierra, Lassen, and Modoc. EPIC brings together farmers, ranchers, gardeners, and local food leaders to explore the shared challenges and opportunities of growing food in our mountainous, fire-affected region. Through community-driven dialogue, collaborative planning, and regional data collection, EPIC aims to strengthen local food networks, support sustainable agricultural practices, and build long-term resilience across the region.

This project is rooted in the belief that regional collaboration is key to creating a more just, adaptive, and self-reliant food system—one that reflects the values and voices of those who grow, provide, and rely on local food every day.

Our work is being funded partly by a USDA Regional Food System grant, reach out for more information or join our next Zoom to get involved.
